Old Fine Mossi Fabric – Man’s Robe – Burkina Faso

1980′. Cotton. Fabric made from 5 strips sewn together. Cm. 160,0 high x cm. 110,0 width (62.99″ x 43.31″). Some damage due to age and use (see photos).

Narrow strips of handwoven cotton – 7,5 cm in wide – are stitched together into a whole cloth, then dip dyed several times in indigo and embroidered. The indigo colour has aged gracefully and the cloth have a lovely, soft feel.

This fabric has been professionally washed.
