Old Women’s Belt – HIZAM – Fez, Morocco

269,95

Early to mid 20th century. Wool. The piece is approx. cm. 134,0 x cm. 12,0 (52.76” x 4.72”).

This Moroccan Fez belt shows a highly complex weaving technique.

Floral harmonies and decorations are very common on these belts whose edges are often decorated with eight-pointed propitiatory stars and with the Hamsa, the Hand of Fatima (as in this case).
