The Senufo are an ethnolinguistic group composed of diverse subgroups of Gur-speaking peoples living in a region that extends from southern Mali and the extreme western corner of Burkina Faso to Katiola in Côte d’Ivoire. Daily life among the Senufo revolves around religious rituals through which they appease the deities they both respect and fear, notably by means of divination practices and the wearing of finely crafted bronze jewelry.
