Antique Kyrgyr Silver & Coral Earrings – Gushwar-e Kafasi – Kirghizistan
End 19th century – early 20th century. Silver, coral grams 68,6 (2.42 oz); cm. 11,5 high (4.53”). Former austian collection.
The dome shape of these earrings resembles a bird cage, as its name (Gushwar-e Kafasi) indicates. The upper element could represent a bird in flight.
