Old Fine Mossi Fabric – Man’s Robe – Burkina Faso

1980′. Cotton. Fabric made from 13 strips sewn together. Cm. 148,0 high x cm. 108,0 width (58,27″ x 42.52″). Very good general conditions; a hole in the lower edge due to use.

Narrow strips of handwoven cotton are stitched together into a whole cloth, then dip dyed several times in indigo and embroidered. The indigo colour has aged gracefully and the cloth have a lovely, soft feel.

This fabric has been professionally washed.
