End 19th century. Copper grams 6.342,0 (13.98 lb.). Cm. 15,2 high x cm. 17,0 width (5.98″ x 6.69″).
These heavy copper alloy rings come from Ingende and Bakatola, two villages south of the city of Mbandaka, located on the Congo River at the equator. They were used by the Mongo peoples for their trade.
