Beautiful Kenga Armlet – African Currency – Chad
20th century. Bronze. Cm. 15,0 high (5.91”) x cm. 12,5 width (4.92″). Gr. 974,4 (6.87 oz.).
These sculptural armlets were used as currency. The Kenga are part of the Guera-Naba of Chad people cluster within the Sub-Saharan African affinity bloc. This people group is only found in Chad.
