Wood. Height: 28.0 cm (11.02 in). Weight: 782.8 g (27.61 oz).
Traditional hand-turned wooden storage container from Nepal, featuring a dark aged patina and finely incised concentric decorative bands. Such vessels were traditionally used in Himalayan households for storing foodstuffs, grains, butter, salt, or other daily necessities.
The piece displays attractive signs of age and use, with a warm surface patina acquired through years of handling. A fine example of traditional Nepalese utilitarian craftsmanship, equally suitable for collectors of Himalayan ethnographic art and rustic decorative objects.
