Old Coptic Cross – Shewa Region, Northen Ethiopia

Mid 20th century. Silver. Cm. 7,9 x cm. 5,1 (3.11 x 2.01 Inches); grams 23,0 (0.81 oz.). This cross is decorated on both sides.

Pendant crosses are received at baptism and worn around the neck as their owner’s most prized possession, a talisman and symbol of faith combined.
