Old Large Throwing Knife, MAFA-MATAKAM Tribe – Northern Cameroon
Forged iron. Cm. 70,3 high (27.68″); weight: grams 886,0 (31.50 oz.).
These knives were used as a means of barter by Vere and, above all, by the Dadiya, an ethnic group on north-eastern Nigeria.
Composed of a blade in wrought iron and a handgrip made of an iron strip wound into a spiral, with fan-shaped tooling.
