Tuareg Bella Amulet – Niger

Mid 20th century. Silver; gr. 11,5 (0.40 oz.); cm. 8,6 (3.38”) long, cm. 6,1 (2.40″) width. Signed piece Bella live Niger and Mali but are of Sudanese origin in Africa. The Bella tribe was formerly held in slavery by the Tuareg. You can see a similar piece on page 189 of “Africa Adorned” by Angela Fisher.
