Old Fine Mossi Fabric – Man’s Robe – Burkina Faso

Cotton. Fabric made from 9 strips sewn together. Cm. 153,0 high x cm. 82,0 width (60.24″ x 32.28″). Good general conditions, some damages due to age and use.

Narrow strips of handwoven cotton are stitched together into a whole cloth, then dip dyed several times in indigo and embroidered. The indigo colour has aged gracefully and the cloth have a lovely, soft feel.

This fabric has been professionally washed.
